(James 1:2 NIV) "Consider it pure joy,my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds.."
This has always been a very interesting scripture for me lol. How on Earth are you expected to hold it together let alone leap for joy when you have hit a rough spot in your life is beyond me.The very act of 'grinning and bearing it' could easily become a perpetual cycle of torture both emotionally and mentally and is not what the author was advising.
When you read on further into the book of James you realize that the joy that he is referring to comes from the foreknowledge of a blissful end.(James1:3) Says "...because you know the testing of your faith produces perseverance.Yes my friend when you face a trial, problem, knick, bump in the road, whatever you want to call it-it is intended for your good even though it's a pain-in- the-neck when you're actually going through it.
The christian walk is not for the swift but for those who will endure until the end,it is not easy but it is possible...
In these posts I will share some of the things that I have learned in my walk with the Lord and those things that I am still learning.Pointless going bonkers and bananas when you can pray :)...Stay tuned.
